Model Town: Lahore High Court blocked the new 'JIT' from work

The Lahore High Court's Full Bench termed the applications against the new Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to investigate the Model Model Town, preventing the team from working.

The three-member bench of the High Court, headed by Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan, had been rescued by JIT against Inspector Rizwan Gundal's two petitions.

The court suspended the notification of making Joint Investigation Team and prevented the new 'JIT' from working.

The three-member bench of the High Court declared the applications against the JIT, hearing the notice and issued a reply to the Punjab government.

Advocate General Punjab said the first time in the history of the High Court heard the decision without hearing the government.

Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Faisal Arab, and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Mian Khel were included in the investigation of Model Town for the trial of Model Town.

It should also be remembered that the commission set up for the investigation of model town tragedy in 2014 had completed the inquiry report and handed over to the Punjab government, which was not brought back.

However, later the court ordered the report of the "Model Model Town" to normalize, after which the government brought the report of Justice Baqar al-Nafif on the scene.
