Russia decides to temporarily disconnect Internet service in the country

Moscow: Russia has temporarily decided to disconnect the country from the global internet.

According to the foreign news agency, Russia will temporarily experience the disconnect of the Internet in the next few weeks, during this experiment, Russia will depend on its domain's semi-system, web domain directories, and addresses for the internet.

According to the media report, this experience is likely to be completed before April 1, but no final date has been given by authorities.

This experience will be under the Russian Digital Academy of National Program, the proposed law was presented last year, which was intended to preserve the Russian Digital Infrastructure even when other companies disconnected Internet service for Russia.

Under this project, Russian internet services companies or ISPS will redirect all routes within the country to the routing points approved by the government telecom entity Russia Rusko Mazor.

According to the report, in Russia, Internet traffic is also used under the global system that helps connect devices across the world online.

The Russian government's aim is to end up reliance on foreign internet service companies and to make the country independent in order to protect any potential cyber attack.

After this experience, controlling all Internet traffic through government routing points will also make Moscow an opportunity to create web censorship system as it is currently in China.
